CSV to JSON
Convert CSV table data into JSON arrays and objects.
Transform JSON structures into XML format for system integration.
Emits XML with array items repeating the tag name and special characters escaped.
Arrays become repeated sibling elements (two objects under `{"book":[…]}` produce two `<book>` nodes) — the usual way XML spells a list, and the exact shape the xml-to-json tool here reads back.
Two reserved keys carry structure and text: `@attributes` becomes element attributes and `#text` becomes element text, so `{"@attributes":{"id":7},"#text":"hi"}` → `<root id="7">hi</root>`.
`null` becomes a self-closing tag (`<n/>`) and strings, numbers and booleans all become text content; the output carries an XML declaration and the root element is always `root`.
Paste the JSON
The sample is bookstore data: each object in the array turns into another <book> element.
See where element names come from
Object keys become element names, and nesting maps straight onto element nesting.
Copy the result
If you need a different root name, replace the outer root in the output.
Element text carries no type, so `<year>2023</year>` reads back as `"2023"` — the same rule as the xml-to-json page. Convert by field name downstream, or use the JSON ↔ YAML path, which keeps types.
Put both in the same object: `{"@attributes":{"id":7},"#text":"hi"}` gives `<root id="7">hi</root>`. With only `@attributes` you get an attribute-only element, and without `#text` no text is added.
